On Saturday 22nd June 2019 the Rotary Westhaven Matariki Gala was held at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland to raise funds for Auckland City Mission and the Himalayan Leaky Foundation. It was a great night with fine food, an interesting guest speaker (Emirates Team New Zealand Sailor, Richard Meacham), silent and live auctions and later in the evening the band ‘Hands Off’ began playing which soon had everybody up on the dance floor.
