In late May 2025, our amazing Co-Founder Rabindra Tamang achieved an extraordinary milestone — summiting Mt Everest.

His final push to the summit was an excruciating 36-hour journey, including an 8-hour wait just below Hillary’s Step. At that altitude — the “death zone” — every extra moment carries life-or-death risk.

After his successful summit, Rabindra was evacuated to Kathmandu, where he was treated for pneumonia and made a full recovery. We are incredibly proud of Rabindra. By reaching the world’s highest peak, he has secured his place among the world’s great mountaineers — a reflection of his determination, resilience, and spirit.

Beyond Everest, Rabindra is building his business, A-One Adventures, which offers mountaineering expeditions, high- and low-altitude treks, and unique travel experiences across Nepal. Every booking with A-One Adventures supports our ongoing mahi with the Chepang and other communities.

His Everest journey also carries a deeper purpose: it stands as a symbol of the Hīkoi for Hope 2025 mission, raising awareness and funds for safe housing, clean water, and education.
