HLF is working towards strengthening and empowering disadvantaged women and children in rural communities to live sustainably through better health, education and economic opportunities. They will be doing this through the Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP) – Pilot Project. This project includes activities such as agriculture based income generation, early childhood development centres, provision of school supplies and uniforms, mobile health camps, women leadership training, book-keeping classes, literacy classes, human rights training, sales and marketing training, skills development training and much more.

At present we are looking for the right villages to team with, and after discussions with the Thamdanda community we will absolutely be starting our pilot project with them. A member of the HLF team, who was at the Health & Hygiene Awareness Training this week, reported back that the women there were so excited to be a part of this project and had in fact already formed an informal women’s group and starting monthly fund collecting. We are so excited to be teaming up with these inspiring and motivated women!
